Hey guys!
My name is Annabelle, and I'm a 17-year-old that's crazy about Jesus! From a young age, I've wanted to be a full-time missionary, and I'm so excited to be making steps towards my calling!
YWAM (Youth With A Mission)'s purpose is "to know God and make Him known", and they do this by enabling young adults to spread the love of Jesus! While they have many different programs, I will be doing their 6-month Fire and Fragrance "Least Reached" discipleship training school starting in January 2025. That means I will be spending about 10 weeks in Kona, Hawaii, growing in my relationship with God and learning more about the gifts He has given me and how to use those gifts to bring God glory! After the lecture portion is complete, I will spend 10 weeks in another country (I will find out where after I arrive in Kona) spreading the good news of Jesus! Because I am doing the Least Reached program, I will likely be going to a country where Christianity is either scarce, prohibited, or supposedly non-existent.
Growing up, I heard a lot about YWAM through different churches and events, but I never actually thought I would get to go. In 2023, I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip as an intern at an orphanage/church/school in Tijuana, Mexico. I was there for five weeks, and it was easily the most influential five weeks of my life. I learned so much about the love God has not only for me, but for others as well. I witnessed miracles with my own eyes, and I made so many amazing friendships that I still have today. I learned what it looks like to serve with humility, and I was reminded of the call God has placed on my life to share His love with the nations. I spent a few months praying and seeking the Lord on what the next steps in my life should be, and over time it became clear that going to YWAM Kona is the next step in pursuing my calling. I have come to realize that God's timeline for my life is much more important than my own, and so much better than I could ever have imagined!
The biggest blessing that you can provide in this time would be to include me in your prayers. I ask that you pray for safe travels, open hearts, the community I will venture to, and for each day to come with the chance to plant seeds of faith.
In addition to partnering with me in prayer, you can also support me financially. The cost of DTS is about $10,000, depending on where I will go on mission. If you feel led to give, know that it will be used to spread the love of Christ to the nations.
By your prayer and support, you are with me as I go!
