Hey there! My name is Cheyenne Smith and I’m a full-time missionary with YWAM Oita, Japan!

Here in Oita, our focus is to show and share the true love of Christ and the Gospel through different types of ministries. YWAM Oita is still considered a new base, so a lot of pioneering, building friendships and trust with the locals, as well as being heavily involved with the community and churches are just a few things we do to show our love, and Christ’s love, to the people in Japan.

There are many different types of ministries I will personally be involved with as a staff member here. A few opportunities that speak directly to my heart are teaching conversational English, one on one counsel (encouragement) and love to young women who struggle to see their self-worth and beauty, music, art, and volunteering in a cafe, creating lifelong friendships and having the honor to share my testimony and Christ’s love with those I encounter. Only 1% of the Japanese population claim to be Christian. It’s not only my calling, but my strong desire to see that number rise!

It would be an honor and a blessing if you would prayerfully consider partnering with me to help reach those that don’t know who Christ is, or know how much He loves them. I truly believe that Jesus wants every single person to come to know Him, and not perish!
