Hi, my name is Gedam Melkamu. I am from Durham, NC and at the age of 12 the Lord began to grip my heart for the lost. In October 2018 the Lord opened the door for me to move out to California for missions training with the Circuit Riders. In January 2019 I went on my first Carry the Love tour to 11 states in the U.S. and my life has been forever changed.

Currently only 5% of college students in America are a part of a student ministry. I discovered that there are so many students in the U.S. who have never heard the gospel. I saw first-hand that this generation actually hungers for truth and hungers to know that they are loved by the God who made them.

Jesus has been misrepresented to our generation and it is our job to represent Him rightly. It is our responsibility to reach the unreached on college campuses with the gospel. It is our heart cry to tell our generation about the hope and love of Christ and the real, authentic freedom that is found in knowing Him. We believe that the campuses of America will be saved, and that we are on the brink of the greatest Jesus Movement in history.

I have the opportunity to travel across the U.S. as well as internationally on tour to college campuses to preach the gospel through one-on-one evangelism as well as during our “Carry the Love” events. One of our main focuses is to catalyze students into living evangelistic lifestyles, giving real practical tools on how to evangelize and how to effectively shift the culture on their campuses in a sustainable way.
