Hello Beautiful People! My name is Maggie Drake and I am first and foremost a daughter of our King Jesus. I am on staff with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. 

In Mexico, a small group and I are pioneering YWAM Puerto Vallarta’s first ever School of Biblical Studies (SBS)! SBS is an intensive nine-month school that leads students inductively through the entirety of the Bible 5 times. This creates students who become equipped to look at the word for themselves within the context of a historical and literary background. Students will see the big picture of God’s word and gain the joy of discovery as they uncover God's character and nature through the pages of the Bible. 

As an SBS staff, I believe that these nine months are just the beginning of a lifelong journey in the Word. That this is simply the start of a sturdy foundation they can build the rest of their life on. I believe the power of God’s voice through his Spirit and Scripture is what will wake up the church and cause Christian’s to move into action to partake in the Great Commission (Mt 28) to see the lost come home to their heavenly Father. And that’s why I am in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I believe this is a nation of harvesters, both to their local communities and the ends of the earth. 

Youth With a Mission Puerto Vallarta exists to encourage Christian community by serving the local Church through biblical training, evangelism, and community development. To see Mexicans sent out into the Nations.

During staffing, I will be  walking alongside students as they study the Bible over the course of nine  months. I will be coaching them in the inductive method, teaching multiple books of the Bible throughout the school, discipling a small group and individuals, teaching English classes, and helping in the local community through other teaching opportunities, park projects and taking care of the least of these. I will also be continuing my own study of the Word alongside the students.

This position with YWAM is entirely volunteer, as all positions with YWAM are. Therefore I will be gathering a team of people to partner with me financially and prayerfully on a monthly basis. This covers my living and ministry expenses and allows me to be full time each week with the School of Biblical Studies and the ministry they are doing!
