Hey friends! My name is Ruth Opiela and I am going into full-time ministry with YWAM (Youth With A Mission).

I am originally from the UK but will be moving to Colorado very soon to join staff at YWAM Colorado Springs! Our mission at YWAM Colorado Springs is “to cultivate revival and transformation amongst the least-reached”, a goal my heart is especially fired up for. My heart for missions is to unite the least reached with the love of their Creator - for them to know the great love and design God has for them and how it was perfectly displayed on the Cross. As well as sharing the Gospel, I believe there is so much that can be done through physical displays of love in the unreached communities.

Aiding and supporting poverty-stricken families, particularly those affected by human trafficking, and using what I have, to help others, is a burden God has laid on my heart since I was very little. My heart aches for those who are stuck in conflict and brokenness and still don’t know the truth that will save their souls, Jesus. My prayer is that my life is one fully laid down for loving & serving my Lord and loving & serving His creation. To be His hands and feet and help unite the Kingdom with this broken world. To see revival, healings, reconciliation in the name of Jesus.

Romans 10:14-15“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

I also have a wild passion for worship and creativity. My desire while serving in Colorado is to steward my passions and giftings to draw others closer to the character and nature of God and give glory to Him alone, however that looks.

Psalm 45:1“My heart overflows with a pleasing theme;I address my verses to the king;my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe.”
