Hi, I am Shibu Varughese!
I just finished the three year ministry course (BSSM) with Bethel Church, Redding, CA. I am passionate about lost souls and believers, to see their lives transformed and reach their highest potential through renewed mind and the work of the Holy Spirit.
California has around one million Indians living there and is a prime location to reach this community without any fear of persecution. I am partnering with Karuna Influence Church, Fairfield and some of my friends at Bethel to see a revival.
Prior to BSSM, I worked as a senior research scientist in medicinal chemistry for ten years in India. In 2015, God started speaking to my wife and me about the coming revival in India & nations and to surrender our lives for this. He spoke to us through many prophecies, confirmations & through His Word.
In 2017, during a 7-day fast, we had a powerful encounter as a family, which was a clear confirmation for us to go into ministry. So, we decided to sell our house & leave our jobs as scientists. We joined our local church as trainee pastors. By now, we had already planted outreaches in nearby villages, led mission trips and campaigns and were actively involved in the leadership as deacon and head of evangelism since 2010 along with our jobs.
By the end of 2017, God started speaking to us about getting equipped for the calling at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. This was a huge step for us because we didn’t know much about Bethel, and the high cost of this course.
Eventually when we applied for a US visa, it got denied for my wife & kids not just once, but three times. I had to leave my beloved family and attend school for the last three years. I am so thankful to God that I was able to finish this course! I can easily say that this was worth much more than the pain and cost.
Recently, God opened a door for us to continue ministering in the US and see these dreams come true through a self-funded religious visa (R1). This visa will also help us to be finally united as a family after three long years of living in two different countries!
