Oi! My name is Talitha and I'm a Latina from beautiful Brazil!

I'm part of a missionary movement called Youth With A Mission, also known as YWAM, that began with Loren Cunningham, in Kansas City, USA in the 60's.

This mission has had a great impact on my life, because through it I discovered more about how to have a personal relationship with God and more of my Identity as His daughter. After attending the Discipleship Training School in 2019, I felt I should continue on as a missionary in NZ, at YWAM Auckland Te Ao Mārama, which I have been, since 2020. My calling is for Training and Discipleship, that I have learned to apply in every aspect of my life. It is why I have dedicated myself to working with DTSs, and other training opportunities in the ministry. My desire is to help people know who they are in God and, through this, empower them to impact the nations by sharing the Gospel and demonstrating the love of God, being relevant influences in the media and being empowered in the beauty that there is in all cultural expressions.

During my time here in NZ, one of the biggest things I learned was perseverance and it's been a daily journey of growth.

You may ask yourself, but why stay in a foreign land? Why not go back to Brazil where there's so much need? Well absolutely! My country faces a lot of attacks from the enemy and there is so much that can be done. There is one thing though that being in this community has taught me, which is we shouldn't move and do things out of necessity, but out of the Word of the Lord.

So, in obedience, I have been dedicating all I am and all I have to serve the purpose God has for me in Aotearoa (NZ), and care for the people on this land. We all as the body need to respond to the “Go Ye” in any way we can. To obey what He commanded and GO and preach everywhere about what we heard, and here is where He has called me to be, at least for this season.

Another project that I have for this year is to be equipped and trained to continue doing ministry well, so I plan to do a course for Leadership Training in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii starting in July. It's a 2-month+ training, that costs about $2,500 US + airfare.

My overall expenses at the moment amount to around $1,700 NZ dollars - $ 1,000 US. It consists of:

• Giving (tithes, offering, and generosity)

• Housing/rent

• Food (groceries, eating out, etc.)

• Transportation (car and flights)

• Self-care

• Savings

I emphasize that though one-time and occasional offers are very welcome, I am hoping for monthly supporters who can consistently send an amount to invest. If you feel to give, please pray and consider how much you are to donate, I appreciate it all very much!
