Bob Norsworthy, Founder & President
Bob Norsworthy is the Founder and President of EquipNet International. He is currently also the the Founder and President also of UniSkript Research and Literacy Institute, a 501c3 Public Charity that is working on solutions for literacy among the Navajo Nation schools and pioneering research studies with a number of universities of a new literacy system called UniSkript that brings rapid literacy to illiterate and sub-literate populations of people.
Bob served for 18 years as the Executive Director of the Newman Family Foundation, a private philanthropic incubator, in the San Francisco Bay Area. He also co-founded Cumulus9 Technology in 2002 and also Invisipipe, Corp., a technology company and distribution partner of Redline WiMax Technology of Toronto, Canada in 2006.
More recently Bob has served in other start-ups as Co-Founder of SourceView Publishing, LLC and of Giving Joyfully, a Philanthropic funding organization. He currently serves on the Advisory Boards of the Corban University School of Business, the University of the Nations, and has served as a Board member for Powered By Action.
Bob is an entrepreneur and co-founder of a number of business ventures, and has over 38 years of international business and non-profit experience. He has been passionately involved in societal transformation through Business, the advancement of Global Literacy, Community Development in Africa, and projects dealing with Extreme Poverty, Social Justice, Women at Risk and the combating of Human Trafficking around the world.
Bob brings to EquipNet, a large network of connections in China, India, Asia, SE Asia and Africa from his extensive travels and work abroad.
Dana Thorp brings a multitude of people skills to EquipNet as the Donations Processing Coordinator from her twenty plus year history in both the business world and as a direct care provider to patients in the healthcare industry. Dana not only cares for all donor processing but also donor relations and customer care for EquipNet and its regular donors to EquipNet missionaries and projects globally. Thel Rountree, International Director of Technology and Learning, Board Member
With over 30 years experience in video production, photography, learning management systems, computer graphics, music, multimedia and the visual arts, Thel Rountree has been very active in the communications and training industry. During that time he has acted as a Producer/Director of training, marketing and educational films, on-line training, learning management systems, Internet/Intranet site development, speaker support, simulations, television commercials and weekly television programming.
His degree is in photography and he studied with Ansel Adams and Brett Weston. He also has sat on the media curriculum advisory boards for the California State Multimedia & Entertainment Initiative Economic and Workforce Development Leadership Council, California State University at Fullerton, Pasadena City College, Cypress College, and The North Orange County Community College District and the National Science Foundation.
He is currently the International Director of Online Learning at Development Associates International. His activities there include: consulting with all the stakeholders in both the DAI’s Masters degree program – which is accredited in over 20 universities around the world and their non-degreed curriculum, which is taught in over 37 countries currently. Strategizing, researching, evaluating and implementing Learning Management Systems and other tools that are most appropriate for delivering online learning to DAI’s international students. Producing, directing and editing video based and avatar based learning modules. This has culminated in the building of the DAI Institute – it went live in 2016 – which is a online learning environment that currently has over 12,000 registered users from 141 countries.
